TRAINOSE reveals a new era in Hellenic Railway
Good news from Hellenic region. TRAINOSE announced in Thessaloniki International Fair that plans to implement a new type of “smart ticket” for reducing paper waste in ticketing procedures. This is going to happen with implementation of a new electronic – non printable ticket.
Since now TRAINOSE issued paper tickets. From autumn of this year passenger will have a special barcode with which they can pass through the control procedure. According to TRAINOSE CEO Filippos Tsalides “implementation of electronic ticket in railway reduces costs of paper and valuable human resources”
Following these good news TRAINOSE announced new “miles & bonus” system like this airplane companies use. With this system passengers can collect points and gain special discounts.
Finally TRAINOSE will import a new type of system for high frequency travellers in Hellenic Region. These tickets will offer from 22% to 50% discount for frequent travelling.
