Line 9 of Barcelona underground updated so to be driverless. This line has 15 stations and operates from 5:00 to 24:00. Train passes every 4 minutes at peak zone and every 7 minutes at off-peak zone. Line 9 connects La Sagrera with Can Zam and opened in 2009. Barcelona underground tries to finish the final section of the line from La Sagrera to Gorg.

Underground operator says that 25% of the network operating in driverless mode. Line 9 increased the total length of the underground by 20%.
